The PS5 is expected to make waves in the console gaming community for its futuristic, minimalist, design and incredible power. Here are the rumored specs:

  • 16GB GDDR6 RAM

  • Eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU

  • 10 Teraflops GPU

  • 8K graphics & 4K at 120Hz

  • 825GB of storage and 5.5GB/s

This impressive spec list will power Sony’s next generation console. To start, the PS5’s 10.28 teraflops making it over 5* more graphically capable than the standard PS4 (2* compared to the PS4 Pro). The console will use 16GB of powerful DDR6 ram and pack a 825GB SSD able to load 5GB of data each second.

Those specs are impressive but packing all that power isn’t easy. The minimal, futuristic body housing upcoming console will jump to 14 inches high, topping Sony’s 13 inch record with the PS4 Pro.

The only thing not getting bigger with the PS5 is its controller. The all new controller has a revolutionary design, being the first to have “dual-sense” haptic technology that recreates feelings experienced in a game. The remote also adds a long sought after built in microphone.

As the console gaming community anxiously awaits the PlayStation 5 launch in late 2020, we can only figure it will be the biggest announcement we have seen since the PS4 and Xbox launched. Its incredibly capable GPU will support new, unseen graphics for the consoles new game library. But, we also have to keep an eye on its most fierce and only competitor, the new Xbox Series X. Launching in the same pre-holiday window, both have impressive processing abilities and it remains unseen which company will produce the better selling gaming system.

For now, we can only wait for more news from Sony in the following weeks! Follow Tech Balloon on Twitter to stay updated
